The foundation gave away 3 scholarships on May 15, 2006 at Sgt Flanagan’s alma mater - Lecanto High School. We will be giving away 2 scholarships and possibly 3 again this year.

We are adding a scholarship at Citrus High School this year. It will be in honor of CWO Aaron A.Weaver. Aaron graduated from Citrus High School. He was in the US Army serving with the Air Cavalry. He was killed when the heliocopter he was a passenger in was shot down in Iraq on January 10, 2004.
Scholarship applications for both schools will be available in their respective guidance departments in late December 2006 or early January 2007. See Ms Lightbody at Citrus High School or Ms Marshall at Lecanto High School.

Generally the scholarships are available for high graduates who had a 2.0 or better weighted grade point average ( GPA) who had been accepted into an accredited school or college. The scholarships are renewable provided the recipients maintain a 2.0 or better GPA and remain in good standing with the school of their choice.
